Wireless is a shared competitive medium and so when collisions happend
(even with non data packets from "idle" device) between devices can
reduce throughout.  Audio on Touch at 192kbps needs a smooth delivery of
data with no lumpiness. Touch has limited buffer space speced for 96kbps
- not 192kbps so IIRC it is on the "edge" with wireless - try wired and
if problem recurs then you know it is not the Touch.
