Thanks for the info.

My Mac is a 2018 unit that I bought last year this time.   I'm not sure
(and I am on the wrong side of the globe right now to check it out )
what IOS it has, but it's no more than one year old.  Since I have the
same issue with both Touch's, I can easily swap my old one back into
service for the PSU issue.   (What is the PSU?  The remote??)

I'll check on the "sleep" issue when I get back to the US.

ps  I am a bit of a Luddite when it comes to this stuff.  Pretend you
are explaining it to your dog.  While he is watching TV.  And that will
give you an idea of my level of sophistication.
