LMS is installed on the Wandboard. Originally that was in replacement of
a slow ReadyNAS (NV+).

But in fact it's always worked fine. The difference is that now I'm
sending the stream from Foobar 2000 via the Foobar UPnP MediaRenderer to
LMS via the UPnP/DLNA Media Interface.

Might the root of the problem be there? I hope not. The fact is that
using Foobar as the front end is much faster and more flexible than
using LMS as is or LMS via Squeezelite-X:

- The library is much faster and more responsive,
- You can interface with the actual files on the disk - tagging, for
example, and opening directories and manipulating files, and running
scripts and utilities - in ways that you just can't with LMS as is.
