Thought of another one.

Media

"<filename> <size> <last modtime> <checksum>"
and
"URLs will not specify the file type. It is up to the client to choose the
file type. (For example PNG, MNG, etc)"

Can I just clarify these statements.
The URLs referred to are those given by the server, as to be media
independent. The filename is every single file type and the checksum for
that file. The filename *will* have the extention and clients are free to
choose between any of the files the URL prefix matches.

For example:

In the media.gz file:
planets/planet1.gif 253123 2007-01-02T2053 123456781232
planets/planet1.png 42527 2007-03-05T2116 424123623536
planets/planet1.mng 128345 2007-03-05T1549 298450423409

Server:
Base url (to media.gz directory): http://media.thousandparsec.net/media/
Object's media url: planets/planet1

Client can choose any of the available files.

Is this correct?

Later
Lee
