For the record, I had little to no issues getting it running on
Windows Server 2003 and XP (32bit).  I set it up for use as a
developer portal internally at my work.  I did run into one gotcha
with trac-admin recently, read:

I must admit you have to be reasonably comfortable with python and
willing to hack sometimes, but who isn't! :-)

What version of Python are you using?
What version of Trac are you attempting to use?

I'm definitely no expert here but i'll try to help out the best I can.
