I have just added "tac.web.auth.LoginModule = disabled" to trac/trac_projects/Project/conf/trac.ini under "[components]".
Apparently it did not make a difference. I still get those multiple prompts for User Name / Password (but no reply from the server) when I access https://.../Project/login/xmlrpc in a browser. http://.../Project/xmlrpc still works fine, but FWIK that won't help with Mylyn integration.
