I just did some checking in my local copy of trac and while file://///server/share works in IE and Firefox when I type it into the browser, I can't figure out how to make a link in Trac that works for both. Putting a link with the wiki text "text for the link":file://///server/share makes a link in the wiki page that works with IE but not Firefox. Now I guess it IS a Trac issue. :)
