I don't think it is (a Trac issue). The link generated by Trac looks like as expected. However, I don't expect my browser to access some random files on my LAN when instructed to do so by a remote HTML page: I think it's more a security issue, and Firefox is better here than IE ;-) If you simply copy from a FF window the link generated by Trac and paste it into the URL area, FF will jump at the expected location.
