I wonder if I am missing something. It seems to me that there is no way to
disable profile switching or change enable/disable parameters in command mode.
Wouldn't it be nice if Prof 0 set the T2 into "use switching parameters" mode,
PROF 1 would disable parameter controlled switching and put the unit in Profile
1, PROF 2 would make Profile 2 active and allow editing. When all the desired
editing is complete, PROF 0 would reactivate parameter controlled switching. At
least this would allow editing of the COM text in each profile without having
to do it while a vehicle is moving at 20+ miles per hour if Profile 1 is set to
be active when Speed is <5 mph and the T2 switches to Profile 2 when the Speed
is >15 mph. Many other situations exist where a parameter change from command
mode would be nice. I think, also, that several commands to set parameters in
command mode are missing and the unit has to be taken back to OTCONFIG to set
the values. Perhaps a review of this whole subject is in order.
