I bought one of these cables for my Nuvi 350 to OT2m: https://www.argentdata.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=90
Which I assume would provide data connectivity between the TNC and the Nuvi. But how do I power the Nuvi? Do I need to have two wires to the Nuvi at all times? One for the power, and one for the data? I know it is possible to do that, but seems like just extra cabling. Also if I extend the data cable to the trunk (where I am mounting the TNC) can I just do that with a long 15 foot serial cable? I assume that will not be a problem. Just more cables to buy. By the way, Radio Shack is selling refurbished Nuvi 350s for $109, get them while they last. Also bought this cable: http://www.byonics.com/cables/m1c.png I thought this would work to power the OT2m TNC, via the cigerette lighter, but not sure, as I need to check the power connections for the TNC, via the Nuvi data port on the TNC.
