I thought I'd share my Nuvi 350 mount in the car as I really wanted to keep it off the windshield and easily removable to either hide from would-be thief or change vehicles.
I drive a car that is rather limited in space and flat surfaces so those factory mounts from Garmin and others didn't fit my needs. I was in a Harbor Freight store last week and found a magnet with adhesive and a little steel plate also with adhesive which was supposed to be used to 'hang' a cellphone. Making a long story short I stuck that ~ 1/2" thick magnet to one little flat spot on the dash. I then cut a piece of steel round and the size of that sticky pad thing that comes with the Nuvi to attach to the suction cup. When that sticky thing with the steel plate is suction cupped together I just slap it against the magnet. It holds well yet is easily removable and most important it is off the windshield and out of my line of sight. So there you go. Pete KCØGPB
