Have used port A for KISS and port B for GARMIN. This way you can
still console in on port A for programming changes. I have used the
same ssid and just eliminated any RF beaconing in uiview and left it
up to the OT2. In uiview I set the Internet beacon to once every
minute so that my icon updates itself with my USB gps. Handy if there
aren't any digipeaters to repeat your own beacon.
Have use it this way as a mobile igate for a couple of balloon chases
in the past few weeks.

Wondering if anyone has used a splitter cable to operate one port
for the
Nuvi 350 and the other for an igate/UIview32.
I am guessing a null/cross to Com1 for the computer for DTE/DCE and
am ok
with that. But what about the configuration?
Com A set to Garmin or would it be Com B?
What callsign SSID on the OT2, different than the computer SSID?
Thanks for the replies, just thought I would add some excitement to
the area
where I am by adding a mobile IGate for special events etc.
