While visiting this past weekend (a former Ham), I was asked about my mobile antennas and the subject of APRS came up. I don't currently use a Garmin Nuvi or Tracker2 but I did mention that I was wanting one but was waiting in hopes that Garmin would market more units that exhibit the Nuvi 350 operation. The end result was that these friends have a nephew working in the software engineering group at Garmin and I was asked for an explanation of the Nuvi 350 operation and what the other units are not doing. They will forward the info to their nephew and hopefully get a firmware mod for other Garmin units. What I'm looking for is a document that clearly explains what the Nuvi 350 does that the other units do not so I can send it to them. No guarantee here but it's worth a try.
