You could also drop $GPGSA and $GPSV 

$GPGSA = GPS DOP and active satellites

$GPGSV = GPS Satellites in view


$GPGGA and $GPRMC have all the info APRS uses (Position, speed, altitude, 
course over ground, date, time, fix validity)
