Sorry if that was confusing--what I meant was, I've done the conversion
on my end, so I wanted to clone my (prepared) repository to hg.exit1.org,
and I thought that if you tried to clone a repository to a directory that
already exists, hg would give an error.

Oops, sorry about that!  Anyway, I tried with the proper username and
this time hg said:

Invalid command `hg init transcode' requested.
abort: could not create remote repo!

I'll try a plain push instead, though when I was setting up the
repository locally I had problems with push/pull missing some of the
changesets...  Anyway, I'll let you know what the result is shortly.
