     amd64 may in fact take a long time to run, since it has to test 8192
different versions of 224k-block memory copies.  Try again with the -v
option and see whether it's stuck or just taking a long time.

     That said, amd64 may not in fact be much (if any) of an improvement
over the standard libc memcpy.  Maybe one of these days I should bite the
bullet and switch to a 64-bit kernel so I can test it myself...
