These msgids are bad practice, anyway. They exist: I've run into  
several in Gnome files, but they're not good UI practice, as you  
would know.

Maybe we can eliminate them by reporting them as bugs against the  
relevent packages. ;)

The whitespace indicator seems to work in Camino, although it's quite  
faint. How about something a bit more obvious, like a block cursor  
from the old terminal days, coloured? :D

The whitespace indicator does not show in OmniWeb. I don't know why.  
Unfortunately, that's the browser I use all the time, due to its many  
excellent qualities. Maybe we can make it work in OW: if you're using  
CSS, what does OW need to be able to detect?
