Hi list.

Here are some notes about my Pootle related activities in the last
while. I wrote to the translate-devel list about my toolkit related
work, of which some escaping work and pofilter checks might be relevant
to Pootle users.

I started with some work to automatically generate the OpenOffice.org
SDF files so that people will have easy access to them. This puts a bit
of a load on the server, so we are not likely to enable this to be
redone on demand yet (although the feature exists in Pootle).

We also had some discussions with OpenOffice.org people about hosting
the PO files in their SVN server. The details are still being sorted
out, but I believe this a step in the right direction and should be a
great help to many localisation teams. The idea is that they will be
able to generate their own SDF files and plug that into a compile farm.
But as I understand we are still some while of before that is possible.
Nice to dream though :-)
