Hi list(s)

We have built a beta2 of the translate toolkit 1.0 and of Pootle 1.0. We
would really like people to help us with the testing. There are several
new features and improvements, too many to list now.

The highlights:
* Better XLIFF support
* You can now host an XLIFF project in Pootle
* Most toolkit tools now work with XLIFF files too (not all converters,
though) There is an oo2xliff and xliff2oo and po2xliff and xliff2po.
* the lang module in the toolkit is the first step towards making
quality checks (pofilter checks) and statistics adaptable for different
languages. This is not yet used everywhere, and there is no
configuration yet for most languages, but the infrastructure is there.
* Some layout changes in the translate page of Pootle to allow users to
see more units.
* Support for darcs version control (thanks to Miklos Vajna)

We have fixed several nagging issues in the last few weeks and are not
aware of any major showstoppers. Please try it out and give us your
feedback. Please note that this version of the Pootle requires the beta2
version of the toolkit as well - it won't work with toolkit 0.11. The
translations for 1.0 have not yet been forward ported (the translations
for 0.11 can probably be used as is.) This toolkit version will become
the preferred version for running current and upcoming versions of
Pootling.

You can find the betas at

Happy testing!
Friedel
