Yes, I get it working. 

pootle               0.11-1  (with disabled *autoload*.patch patches)
python-jtoolkit      0.7.8-2 (with jToolkit_lucene_2.0.0.patch)
python-lucene        2.1.0-2-1
translate-toolkit    0.11-1

Manual index rebuild works, can search via web, didn't test automatic
index rebuild. Running for 3 languages (OOo). 

Debian Etch packages can be downloaded from
http://users.alioth.debian.org/~rail-guest/pootle/
Or just add the following line into /etc/apt/sources.list

deb http://users.alioth.debian.org/~rail-guest/pootle/ ./
