I like the icon. Just check the CSS class name - it is already in use.

When I read this (^) I thought, this must have been written ages ago!
And I was right. I agree with almost everything written in there, but I
thought this is a clear case where a user would almost never want the
documentation to replace the current page. The user is not visiting a
site - Pootle is a web application. The only reason somebody would want
to see the documentation is if they are going to continue to use Pootle.
A similar case can be seen when editing a page on Wikipedia. Search for
"Editing help". This is a page explaining the wiki syntax. I feel this
case is comparable. I am a pathological tab user and almost always open
things in new tabs instead of just clicking. But I don't want people to
"loose the translate thing" just because they were looking for some
information.

I'd like to hear more opinions. Is this a valid case to open the link in
a new window?

One more thing: is this page suitable for consumption by Pootle users?
http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/toolkit/pofilter_tests
Can it explain things a bit better? As soon as this is ready, we might
even consider starting to translate this page on the wiki.

Friedel
