With the help of Alaa, we figured out from where the problem was coming from.
I was using Ubuntu 8.10 Server that uses python-lxml 1.3.6. Pootle need lxml > 2.0. An update to the latest python-lxml 2.2.6 fixed the problem. Thanks for your support. Laurent Marchal.
