Hello all,

I find the problem, my MySQL DB was in lantin1 (ISO 8859) and it seems to be
a problem for Pootle, I don't understand why because all my text files are
in UTF-8.

So here is a solution :
- Backup your DB : mysqldump pootle -upootle -p
--default-character-set=latin1 --skip-set-charset --flush-logs
--lock-all-tables > dump_pootle.sql
- change encoding of your dump file : sed -r 's/latin1/utf8/g'
dump_pootle.sql > dump_pootle_utf.sql
- reencoding your dump : recode latin1..utf8 dump_pootle_utf.sql
- Delete your iso DB and create a UTF-8 DB : mysql -upootle -p
--execute="DROP DATABASE pootle; CREATE DATABASE pootle CHARACTER SET utf8
COLLATE utf8_general_ci;"
- Import your UTF-8 dump in your new pootle DB : mysql -upootle -p
--default-character-set=utf8 pootle < dump_pootle_utf.sql

After that, my pootle works correctly (I just lost "€") and I can insert
greek.

I hope that could be usefull if anyone encounter this issue. I think that
Pootle doc should include a warning about this point because latin1 is
default charset for MySQL.

Bye
Fabien
