I think it makes sense for the strings 'Finch' and 'Pidgin' to be translatable
in case translators want to transliterate the word into their own language. 
That way a Japanese speaker would be able to pronounce the word without
needing to know the English alphabet (even if he has no idea what the word 
means).

But we should be careful to add a comment in the code stating that the word
should not be translated literally, but should only be transliterated.

Translators, am I correct?  It's really your call.
