Hello Ben, I wonder where June 19 comes from?
The Report and Order in CC Docket No. 99-216, which was published in the Federal Register on January 24, 2001 says that "No later than 180 days after publication of the Order in the Federal Register, the Commission shall cease accepting applications for registration of Part 68 equipment and transfer responsibility for establishing and maintaining the database of approved equipment to the Administrative Council." January 24 plus 180 days means July 23. According to what I've heard, it doesn't seem likely that the FCC will rush this process. Have a look at: http://www.fcc.gov/Forms/Form730/730.pdf As far as the FCC ceasing to accept Part 68 registration applications is concerned, no firm date had been fixed. As of what date? I looked on the website and form 730 is no longer there. Who are the TCBs that are supposed to take over this procedure?
