Jim,

I used to work at the UL Santa Clara office for six years until
recently. During that time I recall supplying that same type of
information to several of my clients. Try contacting Dan
Barsotti ext. 32983 or Dwight Hunnicutt ext. 32917. The main
phone number is 408-985-2400. Tell them I sent you.

We are in the process of setting up a facility to do our UL testing inhouse
by utilizing the UL's Client Data Test Program. As an ISO 9001 company it
is very difficult to build in-house test fixtures and circuits without
creating mechanical drawings and alot of paperwork trails. As a result, I'm
trying to find out if anybody manufacturers test fixtures and circuits for
performing UL 1950 3rd edition, and UL 1459 3rd Edition. I already have an
overvoltage machine, Temp/Humidity chamber, Digital Multimeters, Hipots
Tester, Steel ball, and the two probe fingers. I still need:

The hardened steel pin for the abrasion resistance test
A test fixture for the Impact tests using the steel ball
A force gauge that measures in newtons
Test circuits or equipment for the leakage tests on single phase equipment
Test probe in Figure 16 of UL 1950 3rd Edition
Test pin in Figure 20 of UL 1950 3rd Edition
Ball -pressure apparatus in Figure 21of UL 1950 3rd Edition
Measuring Instrument for earth leakage current tests in Annex D of UL 1950
3rd Edition

Any information on these items will be greatly appreciated

Thanks,
Jim Wiese
