Roger, If no CTR's are available for a product, national legislation and national standards are applicable to get the product approved for the market which you are interested in. You will see that most of the EU countries have alligned their national procedure with the rules and regulation of the TTE directive. I.e. annex 1 test/certification procedure followed by an annex 2 Product Sample Scheme or annex 3 Production QA schedule, based on EN 9002. A full annex 4 schedule based on EN 9001 is a possibility most of the EU countries also offer. I know this is the case in the Nordic countries, UK, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Portugal, Spain and Italy.
In any case for national approval the word is: follow the national rules and I don't know if you are pleased with that as soon as you have that particular experience. rgds Piet Thomassen Telefication/The Netherlands.
