TREG'ers, Our Singapore distributor claims that the Telephone Authority of Singapore (TAS) is putting on a lot of pressure to implement ITU E.161:1993, option A. This requires that the letter Q be added to the PRS on the 7 button and that Z be added to the WXY on the 9 button. TAS is prohibiting sale of telphones without this modification (effective 1 April 1996).
1) Has anyone else experienced this problem in Singapore? If so, have you ordered new keypads, or used some other work-around (templates, stick-on labels, etc.)? 2) Is any other country enforcing this standard?
