John, It depends on what particular test in NEBS (Bellcore's GR-63-CORE) you want. NEBS testing includes the following: + thermal + fire resistance + transportation environments + earthquake and office vibration + airborne contaminants + grounding + acoustic noise + illumination Bellcore can perform all of this testing in their NJ facilities, but they tend to be expensive. They can be reached at 1-800-521-CORE (in the U.S. and Canada) or 908-699-5800; www.bellcore.com. Wyle Labs is another lab that can perform all of the above testing. They are particularly good at earthquake testing. 205-837-4411, ext. 200; www.wylelabs.com. UL is really good at fire resistance testing, by this I mean burning up a complete system. The burning of individual parts can be done at your facility or sent out to a local lab willing to do this tedious testing. 847-272-8800; www.ul.com. Testing can also be performed at your own facility, if approved by your customer (a Regional Bell Operating Company (RBOC)). It's best to review GR-63-CORE to determine what testing your facility can do. I hope this helps and keep in mind that it is extremely difficult and costly to design and test to ALL of the NEBS requirements. There usually is some room for negotiations with your customer.
