Hi guys it's me again. Probably with another obvious question that will get you laughing on a Thrusday morning.
Has anyone heard of a FAR from the US government that requires all office equipment to be compliant to class B of FCC part 15 for the product to be sold to the US government? Is there a WEB site I can download the FAR from and understand it? My understanding of part 15 has always been that B is applicable to the home and office environements with the translation of office being on someone's desk. IE if the product is in the buildings wiring closet that class B was non applicable. My concern is that we have products that are never going to be on someone's desk or at their home, but will always be in a wiring closet. Some of these products meet class B and some class A. Our federal office is stating that this FAR requires all products to be class B. As you can imagine, redesigning a group of products to meet B is time consuming and costly and I wish to ensure that it is required before we go any further. Thanks for any insight you may have on this issue. Cynthia email [email protected]
