Subject: Japan safety standards

(1) The Safety organizations you consulted should have known better.
Some, evidently, do not qualify to do your business.

(2) I am sure that Japan has some specific differences from IEC-950

(3) Members of the IECEE CB scheme are evaluated by their peers
against every standard that they apply for. That includes the amendments=
=2E
If you qualify for amendment 2, you do not necessarily have what it takes=

to test to amendment 4.

(4) Members of the IECEE CB scheme, or your national secretariat do have
information on what their counterparts are good for.

> 1.) Japan accepts only amendments 1 & 2
> 2.) Japan accepts amendments 1, 2, or 3 but not amendment 4
> 3.) Since it is a CB scheme report, Japan must accept amendment 4

> All three stated there are specific Japanese deviations.
