Dear Treggers,

I understand that there is no significant need for German analog subscriber's
terminal equipment to continue to support ground start signalling. It seems that
originally, the need for ground start signalling came from PBXs. However, if
such PBXs are now few and far between, then we cannot see any financial
motivation for new products to include ground start support. Can any of you
agree or disagree with these assumptions?

Are any of you aware of a real marketing (or regulatory) need for subscriber's
terminal equipment to support ground start signalling in any other countries?

Best regards,

David Drori
