The requirement for production testing every six months is not
specific in the part 68 rules. You need to look to the "instructions for
completing Form 730" put out by Bill von Alvin who administers the Part 68
program. In order to register your product you must sign up for a quality
program which includes testing every six months according to the
instructions. Check your registration application that you set to the FCC
to get your grant and you should find that you signed up for six month
re-tests.
