Hello Treckers, I have a question regarding the tracking index. The tracking index will be "measured" according to IEC 112. The test condition for applied probes is given with a minimum thickness of 3mm . (If the sample has a thickness less than 3mm, they shall be stapled up to 3mm in order to garantee the comparebility of testresults). I checked the yellow book from UL and usually plastic materials under 3mm are not tested for CTI. Can we apply a higher CTI - value in order to reduce creepage distances for materials with a thickness less than 3mm? Heiko K|hling e-mail: [email protected]
