Welcome Pam:

2500 Volts isolation where? The power port, TNV ports, or other ports? It
depends. Also, simple dielectric isolation is not enough, your dielectric
barriers need to meet certain construction requirements such as creepage,
clearance, distance through insulation, etc. Check out BS EN 41003 and BS EN
60950. These standards apply for obtaining the CE mark for Information
Technology Equipment throughout Europe (LVD as Cynthia mentioned).

Hope this helps.

Subject: Question about CE

I'm new to the "tregworld" and I have two questions, I hope somebody
will answer for me...
1. Can telephony equipment that hooks to a PBX be sold in European
countries with just the CE mark or do we have to have individual
countries approval? An example being The Netherlands.
2. Can we obtain CE with 2500 volts isolation?
