Hi all, I need to have a couple of issues resolved. I would like to purchase IEC 950 Amd 4, but I'm a little confused.
It has been reported to me from a couple sources that IEC 950 Amendment 4 is the complete IEC 950 document. However, checking with ANSI and Global for pricing, etc., both say that Amd 4 is indeed a standalone document separate from IEC 950 and is priced accordingly. Global also said that Amd 4 is larger than the IEC 950 document and was curious why IEC 950 and Amd 4 were not integrated. Which is correct? Is Amd 4 the integrated document, or not? Also,.... Global said that CENELC is still processing EN60950 Amd 4 (they checked with CENELEC a day or two ago) and could not give a release/publish date. However, in a 3/14/97 email, Art Micheal reported that someone named Gail (supposedly from CENELEC) had said that "EN 60950:1992/A4:1997 was just published by CENELEC today (March 14)". Which is correct? Has Amd 4 actually been released/published by CENELEC, or not? And, if not, any idea as to when?
