Rick, We use a label we designed and have printed at a local label printer. We get these on 500 quantity rolls. THese rolls are inserted in a label printer supplied by Winco ID. The label material is a Brady stock. The printer is a thermal transfer process. We program each label using Winco supplied software that serializes if we want to. We are a JIT company so only print one label at a time. The preprinted label is filled in with only the information that is different one product to the next. The label material and printing process has been approved by UL/CSA and survives all testing. If you want more info, contact me separately.

Obviously if you need hundreds or thousands of labels there are manufacturers ready to provide them. What about these low quantities? Does anyone have a recommendation. Perhaps a label with a clear adhesive overlay, or something that can be used in a Lazer printer? What about special typewriter inks. It seems to me that with our present technology, we would have capabilities beyond typing these labels. All comments are greatly appreciated.
