I highly recommend a program called TILE from Quantum Change. This
program is written and supported by Mike Hart, former president of
EMCO.
TILE is similar to Lab View but much easier to use. In minutes you can
generate your own custom test routines for Radiated emissions, Line
Conducted, and Radiated Immunity and Conducted Immunity. This software
supports TEM Cells, Anachoic Chambers, and OATS testing facility.
For example, in our 10 meter anachoic chamber I can perform an entire
PEAK scan of a product from 30-1000Mhz both horizontal and vertical in
only 12 minutes (great for debug work). A complete compliance test
takes less than 90 minutes.
The biggest advantage I have found is in the ability to customize the
testing yourself. If the software is not able to accommodate a special
test you are doing just contact Mike Hart and he will most likely
write an update to the software or a driver for your equipment. In
many cases I have gotten 1 day turn around on such requests.
I have no stock in Quantum. I praise this product because I am so
pleased with it. My customers are very happy with our test automation
that is available through the TILE software. Performing tests quickly
gives my customers more time to debug and fix problems saving them
money and me time.
