Hello Grant and All:

EN 41003, being titled "Particular Safety Requirements for Equipment to be
Connected to Telecommunications Networks" is just that. Therefor, if your ITE
plugs into the telephone network, it applies. If your ITE does not plug into
the network, it does not apply. EN 41003 these days simply refers to clause 6
of EN 60590. Therefor, if you comply with EN 60950, then you comply with EN
41003.

Hope that this helps...

Subject: EN41003 not applicable to ITE?

Could someone confirm that the latest version EN41003 states that it is not
applicable to ITE? I think I recall someone previously saying that this
exclusion was added to the 1997 version. If this is correct, I would
appreciate it if someone could fax me the page with this reference.

Thanks in advance.
