Hi TREGgers, I understand that the FCC has recently changed the requirements regarding the maximum signal level which can be transmitted relating to voice/data over the switched network.
My question is, is this level change being incorporated into the digital (T1) side of the network, i.e. from the ISP to the CO or digital switch, or on the analog side from or to the subscriber? The concern is that existing modem code (V.90) may have to be changed to take advantage of the increased signal level. My undersranding is the maximum level has changed from -10 dBm to -6 dBm. Where can I find some info on this change? I have searched the FCC web site but couldn't find anything.
