James,

Whilst I am not aware of the billing tones in the countries mentioned
causing a problem with modems, we are able to supply filters to attenuate
the relevant frequencies. The Belgian phone plug is large enough to place
the filter inside, as with the German plugs with billing filters that we
currently supply to you. As the Austrian and Spanish (RJ11) plugs are
physically too small for the filter we can integrate this into an in-line
"dongle" in the telephone lead. This removes the necessity to modify the
modems for each country.

Subject: Billing tones...?

A quick question...

Do Spain, Austria and Belgium still use billing tones? I'm told that they
were definitely used in these countries at one point - but I've also been
told that they may(?) have now been phased out.

Can anyone help and/or point me in the direction of more information?

Thanks in advance,

-James
