Not really for that length of time.  It's recommended to have a lead plated
or tin plated washer between the two surfaces.  After 15 years a bit too
late for that now.  The corrosion is much worse if the contact area is wet.
You get a white powder there and it's a disaster for electrical contact
resistance.
