Richard,

Whilst I do not have any technical data, I do know from experience in the
marine environment that unprotected aluminium does corrode severely when in
contact with stainless steel.  Over 5 to 10 years the aluminium could be
severely corroded.

The salt water obviously speeds the process.  In dry conditions, there would
be very little corrosion.
