What kind of interface you want to do S/T or U interface? For BRI U you will need the RJ-49C configuration at the "U" reference point in USA
For BRI S/T the connector configuration is the same than in Europe In Canada the configuration are the same than USA but their name are different: CA-A11 for U interface and CB-1D for S/T interface For primary rate it will be RJ-48C in USA or CA 48C in Canada Best Regards -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, August 03, 1999 7:29 AM To: [email protected] Subject: ISDN interface Dear everybody I'm confused about the different use of ISDN connectore in EU and US. Our situation is: we make a Bri ISDN (TRB 3) interface which uses a RJ45 connection we want this interface approved by FCC part 68, BUT will use EU ISDN lay 1-3 But as I can see RJ48 connection is used in the US which differe from RJ45 in the wiring of the modular jack connector. My questions are: is RJ45 used in the US/Canada at all ? can we have a FCC approval of a EU ISDN ? Best regards, Mr. Kim Boll Jensen i-data, Denmark
