Thanks Ray,  that confirms that the new standards indeed cover this, so
there is no ambiguity
on that score.  Don't know what happened to the T1 overlay they were
working on.  That may
not be covered by the new NOMs, yet may be a requirement when bidding on
private contracts.
I do know of a number of PBX installations in Mexico City that are
T1/mu-law (or were in any case).

By the way, I thought I saw a NAFTA/WTO announcement in the last two weeks
that approved the
provisional NOM 150 and 151.  In Canada, the SCC is the recipient for such
information, in the USA it is NIST.  That is why I suggested that Mike
contact NIST.

Can help with a translation of the new NOM-019, don't have one for 150 and
151.
