Vic, I don't trust my typing. I'm also going blind, besides being dyslexic.
I copied "http://europa.eu.int/eur-lex/en/dat/1999/l_091/l_09119990407en00100028.pdf " straight out of Ben's email and pasted it into Netscape's location window. The response was "The server could not be found". I then deleted all of the address, but: http://europa.eu.int and tried again. This time the website was accessed. I then selected english (en) and registered. Then went back to Netscape home page and re-entered: "http://europa.eu.int/eur-lex/en/dat/1999/l_091/l_09119990407en00100028.pdf". The pdf file was then automatically downloaded and was read by Acrobat without a problem. Duane >I had the original problem, because I am going blind and daffy. I misread >the "l's" for "1's". > >However, once that was fixed, I had no probelms and needed no registration >to download. > >My problem is that my Acrobat Reader says that there is unrecognizable >stuff in that >"pfd" file and gives me only blank pages for all my trouble. Now, I have >had that with >other "pdf" files and have never found out what the matter is. I received >a couple of >other "pdf" files today that went through like nobody's business. Anybody >any >suggestions ? > >Regards, > > >Vic
