Oh, now THAT's interesting! The sandisk microthingy that I got because my laptop's SD card slot won't read SDHC cards is teeny and would plug in, then to the USB port on this thing. So, I could sync to my 8gb card (and soon 16gb SD card) and just pop it out of the Treo and into this unit and play all my music with no cords and no battery drain!
Cool! Off to Target tomorrow! I just hope it's the digital PLL hoo ha so it works well!! I just now went out to grab some lunch and plugged in my 12-in-1 USB flash card reader into the unit's USB port. I then stuck an SD card in card reader's SD slot (not the VRFM9's) and the VRFM9 played the stuff off the card! So, theoretically, by using a card reader, one should be able to play MP3/WMA files through the VRFM9 on virtually any type and capacity of flash media. :-) [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
