Oops! I forgot about my Sony. I had a Clie as well, which I only sold late
last year (it had been sitting in my basement for years). I don't remember
what model it was, but I believe it was one of the first they had, a color
model. I guess I got it after I had the Palm V, but before getting the Treo
600. So maybe in 2000? But like the others, I never really used it to any
huge extent, except as a kind of hobby gadget to hack around with. After a
while I lost interest.

My plan for most of these were to increase organization and productivity by
using to-do lists and scheduling, but I found I wasn't motivated enough to be
consistent about entering things. I would do it for a while, but always
eventually I'd grow tired of it or get too busy, forget, etc. Even now I still
don't use to-do lists. I've yet to find an application that made the to-do
list compelling enough to use. Me and my wife do calendaring via Google
Calendar. I find the interface to be excellent, and the ability to share
calendars and access them from wherever I can get an connection to be great.
The only thing I need now is a way to access them on my Treo. I've actually
gotten this to work in some ways - Google lets you send email notifications,
and they somehow get implanted into Outlook (via my hosted exchange account) as
events in the calendar, or at least reminders, so in addition to email, I get
alerts from my Treo since I have it synching to Exchange via Versamail.
There's also a third-party tool that lets you synch Outlook and Google
Calendar, but it's not exactly easy to use nor is it very reliable. Google
really needs to add this - and/or a way to synch directly to your PDA's
calendar...

*ponders for a while*

My history is much shorter, but still interesting, I think. I took a Sony
detour.

Palm IIIxe
Handspring Visor Prism
Sony Clie N760
Sony NX70v
Sony TH55
Palm TX
Treo 700p

I'm loving the integration phone/PDA . . . although I AM missing my 'big
screen' somewhat. I still own all but one of my PDAs, and last I checked,
they all still worked perfectly.

So here's my Palm OS device ownership history, as best as I can recall:
> May 1996 - USR Pilot 5000
> Oct 1996 - 1MB Upgrade (woot!)
> Late 1997 - 3Com PalmPilot Pro (still have it :-)
> Early 1999 - Palm IIIx
> Early 2000 - HandEra 330
> 2001 - Kyocera 7135
> 2002 - Treo 180
> 2003 - Treo 270
> 2004 - Treo 600
> 2005 - Treo 650
> 2006 - Treo 700p
> 2007 - ???
