There have been calls that do not appear on TakePHone's history. For
instance, last night I called someone and after a couple of minutes the
connection was less than satisfactory. We hung up and he called me back
-- but only my outgoing call is listed.
Also, the Copy facility copies only the telephone number, not the
time and duration. That's kind of important because I would be happy if
I could Copy and then paste the info into a calendar note. (As I write
this, it occurs to me I should suggest it to Shimon. -- OK, I've put the
suggestion on TreoCentral.)
And one of the reasons some sort of log is important is that the
TakePHone history is time-limited. I don't remember now how long it is,
but when it hits the wall, it reverts to FIFO, and old data is gone.
That makes sense, but puts me back to wishing there were an easy way to
save the pertinent data.
The Create function could be useful, except it would create a lot of
extra entries; many people who call me have multiple lines, and which
one reports on my Treo seems arbitrary. Therefore, I could have 4 to a
dozen numbers associated with a single name, when only one of them is
necessary for me to call them.
