Two years ago before Treo I set up with Verizon two weeks of service in London for my Motorola flip-phone. Worked just fine. The phone was CDMA. I could make and receive calls. Pricey, however, and I did not use it much except to receive calls and call home.
The service used my regular phone number. People who called thought I was still in Orange County, CA. I'm hoping my Treo 650 can be configured to do the same thing on an October trip to Italy. Have not talked to Verizon yet. Dave Clark http://web.mac.com/dave28c http://www.clarklawfirm.com
